1. Overview

SocialDownloader respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement that are properly reported to us.

2. Important Notice

SocialDownloader is a web-based tool that facilitates downloads from third-party platforms. We do not host, store, or distribute any video or audio content. All content is served directly from the original platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).

If you believe your copyrighted work is being infringed, please contact the platform hosting the content directly, as they are the actual content hosts.

3. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
  • Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL or other specific location
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was wrongly removed due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

5. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others.

6. False Claims

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. If you are unsure whether the content you are reporting is actually infringing, you may wish to contact an attorney before filing a notification.
